Korean 1st Birthday

Just stopping by to share these dohl towers that I made for my cousin's 1st bday....

this is a sheep for the year that he was born in ...
the "J" on top is for his middle name, James....

this second one is his Korean name and a view of the back side of the dohl
There were 3 dohl towers in all...I don't have a picture of all three together but will come back and post one soon....

All three dohl were made using a paper towel roll for the base and colored sixlets and white jellybeans....

Thanks for stopping by...

Banners

It's been ages since I've shared anything and hopefully I'll do so more frequently....but for now, I just want to share pictures of a few banners I've made...

First up is a Spiderman theme banner...can't remember what font I used...I think it's from the Batman cartridge...the spiderman images are clipart I found on the internet and I just did a print & cut using my Cricut explorer machine...

Next is a Hulk theme banner, I believe I used Comic Sans font and used the same method for the clipart...regret not using a white shadow for the letters, they would've popped more...

Lastly, a banner for a christening...the letters are from the Nursery Rhymes cartridges..used pop dots between the layers of the letters to make them stand out a bit...

Thanks for stopping by...

Waiting for you!

Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well.  I've been keeping myself busy and haven't had much time to scrap but lucky for me once a year I join a great group of women that get together for a fantastic weekend of scrapping. I have to tell you these ladies do some awesome stuff. I'm still on the amateur level but I always come back full of ideas and inspiration!  I did some basic things for work, like cutting tags and stuff but Saturday afternoon I started some generic double 12 x12 layouts that are intended for some pregnancy pictures.
This is not the best picture but it gives you a basic idea of what I started.  There are 6 layouts, 5 intended for boys and one for my granddaughter.  I still have to add a pregnant lady to each of these.
I'll be using my New Arrival cricut cartridge for that and the title will be "Waiting for you". I'll be using my Silhouette cameo for that.  Once it's complete, I'll add the pictures and give them to the appropriate Mommy. 3 of the boy theme layouts will go to my eldest daughter who has 3 boys, my other daughter will receive 1 boy theme layout and the girl layout, the last boy layout will be for my friend's daughter who just had a baby boy.

Can't wait to see the final product....I'll make sure to come back and share!

Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Shower Invites

Just stopping by to share some baby shower invites I was asked to do.  I made 100 of these. Took me about a week between choosing the design and trying to get supplies together.

You'll notice that not all the papers used were the same...unfortunately, the two Michael's stores that I visited were short on my selections so I had to improvise.  The colors used were brown, light blue and basic white card stock.

Here's a close up:

I designed the whole thing on my Silhouette Cameo.  I used two different fonts - Apple Chancery and Gabriola with alternating sizes. The center shape is called "Frame" and it was already in my shape library.  I think it appeared in my shape library once I registered my Cameo.

The crown is called "princess crown" and I used pop-dots to give it a little definition.  The entire card measured about 5x7.  I forgot to jot down the measurements.

Here's another close up of just the center piece:
The pictures are definitely not the best since I didn't have my camera and was forced to use my phone.

I'm going to link this up to the Silhouette Blog Weekly Challenge.  The challenge is about using your favorite font on a project.  Most of the entries are actual cutouts of fonts but what the heck, I'm still using my favorite fonts, so it kind of meets the requirement.

Thanks for stopping by....I'm hoping to be able to post more often....let's see how that works out.

Sending you crafting wishes,
Jeanette
